Navigation Pane

A live thumbnail outline of every slide in your presentation, with any Excel-linked content nested beneath each slide and a one-click action to generate a Table of Contents.

When to use it

  • Jumping around a 60-slide deck without scrolling through the slide sorter.
  • Spotting slides that are missing titles or have unusual layouts.
  • Seeing every Excel-linked value or chart on a given slide at a glance.
  • Refreshing a single linked value without hunting for it on the slide.
  • Generating a Table of Contents slide directly from the live outline.

How it works

    Click SkySuite on the ribbon to open the AI Assistant pane.
  2. 2
    Switch to the Navigate tab at the top of the pane.
  3. 3
    Click any slide thumbnail in the outline to jump to that slide.
  4. 4
    Expand a slide to see the Excel-linked content it contains - click to navigate or refresh.
  5. 5
    Click the Export action in the pane to generate or update a Table of Contents slide.

Tips & shortcuts

  • Thumbnails are generated in the background, so the pane stays responsive on long decks.
  • Right-click a linked item to refresh it or open the source workbook.
  • The pane highlights the slide you currently have selected so you never lose context.
  • Newly opened presentations populate automatically - no need to refresh the pane manually.
